Jamail to Parolin: To Preserve Lebanon's Sovereignty and Empower its Free Decision

The president of the Lebanese Kataeb Party, MP Sami Jamail, met with the Secretary of State of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, for two hours, during which several issues were discussed, particularly the presidential vacancy and the war in the south and its impact on Lebanon. Jamail explained the party's perspective on the current situation, emphasizing the Kataeb's commitment to electing a president capable of communicating with all components. He also presented the reality of the paralysis affecting all constitutional institutions due to Hezbollah and its allies' obstinacy and dominance over major decisions in Lebanon. Jamail affirmed that the Kataeb's cause has always been and will remain to preserve Lebanon's sovereignty and empower its free decision, and that these two issues will remain the focus of all other entitlements, without which Lebanon's unique position in this region cannot be maintained, wishing for the Vatican to play a positive role in this context.
