China Launches

According to the Chinese newspaper Zhongguo Hantianbao, the mission of the new satellite is to count terrestrial resources and conduct scientific research. The newspaper's WeChat account states that the satellite was launched by an upgraded CZ-6 rocket at 6:49 local time (1:49 Moscow time) from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center (Shanxi Province). This marks the 527th launch of Long March launch vehicles. The Tianhui 5-02 satellite will be used for geographic data transmission, land counting, and scientific research. The upgraded CZ-6 rocket, considered a new generation of environmentally friendly rockets, has a diameter of 4.2 meters and a length of about 50 meters, capable of delivering no less than 4 tons of payload to a sun-synchronous orbit (5 tons to low Earth orbit).
