The New Cairo Prosecution is investigating the individual accused of assaulting the late artist Tamer Diaa'i in the First Settlement area. They have ordered the review of the hospital's surveillance cameras to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
The artist Tamer Diaa'i died in front of a cancer hospital, and the security forces received a report from emergency services about the incident. Upon arrival, authorities found that the deceased had come to the hospital with his wife, who is suffering from breast cancer. He attempted to enter but was stopped by a security guard.
Investigations revealed that a verbal altercation erupted between the artist and the security guard, escalating into a physical confrontation. The artist slapped the guard in the face, who then retaliated with a slap. Subsequently, Diaa'i left, but he collapsed in front of the hospital and died immediately.
The accused security guard has been detained, and a report regarding the incident has been filed.
