Iraqi National Team Intensifies Training Ahead of Match Against the Philippines

The Iraqi national team has intensified its training at the sports city training facilities in Basra, preparing for the matches against the Philippine national team on March 21 and March 26 as part of the joint qualification for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup. According to a statement from the media channel of the Football Association, "the training sessions included 24 players: Jlal Hassan, Ahmad Basal, Mohammad Saleh, Ibrahim Bayesh, Safaa Hadi, Hassan Abdul Karim, Zaid Tahseen, Muntadhar Majid, Ayman Hussein, Mirxas Doski, Ahmad Yasin, Muhannad Ali, Rbin Solaqa, Ali Jasim, Osama Rashid, Mustafa Saadoun, Youssef Al-Amin, Loay Al-Ani, Abdul Razzaq Qasim, Saad Natiq, Manaf Younis, Amir Al-Amari, Dargham Ismail, and Bashar Resan. It is expected that Frans Dia and Hussein Ali, along with Zidan Iqbal, will join the team this morning, Tuesday. The statement also mentioned that the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, the second vice president Younis Mahmoud, Iraqi Association member Ahmad Al-Moussawi, and Secretary General Mohammed Farhan attended the training sessions.
