The Syrian Observatory reported today that "a drone targeted a car near a military checkpoint on the Damascus-Beyrouth road near the Saboura checkpoint." Al Jazeera cited Israeli sources stating, "at least one person was killed in the aerial strike on the car near the Lebanese-Syrian border."
Additionally, Al-Hadath noted that "the area where the car was targeted is populated by Syrian Republican Guard and Fourth Division forces." It was reported by a military source that "the targeted car bore a Lebanese license plate."
