German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has called for an end to the war in Gaza as civilian casualties rise due to the Israeli attack on the region. Annalena Baerbock pointed out that "there is no safe place for civilians in Gaza, and this war in Gaza must end." She continued: "Even the few crowded areas designated as safe zones have been bombed repeatedly," noting that "international humanitarian law imposes limits on any war." The Foreign Minister emphasized that "the time has come to adopt the ceasefire plan for Gaza presented by U.S. President Joe Biden." Baerbock added: "All those responsible in the region and beyond should focus all their energy on negotiations for a ceasefire for humanitarian reasons."
