Real Madrid, the giant of Spanish La Liga, announced today, Tuesday, the extension of Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior's contract until 2027. The 23-year-old player joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 in a deal reported to be worth 46 million euros (48.76 million dollars). Vinicius has scored 62 goals in 235 matches with the Spanish team. Real Madrid stated in a press release: "Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior have reached an agreement to extend the player's contract, keeping him with the team until June 30, 2027." Vinicius, who won the Socrates Award for his humanitarian work during the Ballon d'Or ceremony yesterday, has claimed nine titles with Real Madrid, including two La Liga titles and the Champions League in 2022, as well as two Club World Cup titles.
