Iran Plans to Send Its First Astronaut into Space

The Iranian Space Organization announced today, Tuesday, that Iran will send its first astronaut into space within the next five years. Regarding this matter, the head of the Iranian Space Organization, Hassan Salari, stated: "Space biology was revived in Iran last year, and a biological capsule weighing 500 kg was launched and operated into space." He added: "We have signed a contract to produce a biological capsule that weighs 1,500 kg, which will make it possible to send a human into space. Accordingly, we will send the first Iranian astronaut into space within the next five years, God willing."

On future programs for launching Iranian satellites, Salari said: "One of the notable features of the Iranian space program is the launching of satellites by the private sector. In the coming year, we will launch between 5 to 7 new satellites."

Iran plans to send its first human into space within the next five years, and we wish them success. We hope that Arab countries will follow their lead, and we will see an Arab space organization send an astronaut into space in the near future.
