Hebrew Media: "International Criminal Court" Delays Issuance of Arrest Warrants Against Netanyahu and Gallant

Hebrew Media:

Hebrew media reported today, Thursday, that the preliminary chamber of the International Criminal Court has postponed the decision-making process regarding whether to allow its prosecutor to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of committing war crimes. The delay follows a request made by England on June 10 to submit an "amicus curiae" brief challenging the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in this case.

It was added that "the ruling not only approved the United Kingdom's request to intervene but also granted, in principle, the right of other countries to intervene." The International Criminal Court has given England and other countries until July 12 to submit their briefs.

Following the decision of the International Criminal Court, the entire process of the arrest warrant could easily be postponed for several months, according to Hebrew media.
