For the First Time in Amman: Egyptian "Cairoki" Sing for Freedom and Dreams

For the First Time in Amman: Egyptian

Organized by the Jordan Festivals Friends Association in collaboration with the Jordan Tourism Board, for the first time in Amman, members of the most famous Egyptian band in the Arab world, "Cairoki," will gather with their audience from Jordan and the Arab world for a massive concert on the evening of Friday, May 31, 2024.

The band, which began its journey in 2003, consists of five members and has gained wide fame thanks to the simplicity of its lyrics, as well as its diverse and rich musical arrangements that resonate with the youth's minds. They are also known for expressing realities through their words, urging thought and change.

The concert, held at the Basharats Golf Club in Amman, will be opened by the Jordanian band "Octaves," which aims to revive musical and cultural heritage by blending folk songs with modern music and arrangements while preserving the lyrics and melody.

This event is part of a new cultural tourism program for this year, aimed at attracting local and international tourists to enjoy a range of artistic events that will continue until the end of this year, according to the Jordan Festivals Friends Association.

Suhah Bouab, the executive director of the association, emphasized that this concert aligns with the association’s social responsibility strategy for 2024, which aims to achieve a positive impact in our community through culture and art and enhance inclusive contributions by paying attention to less fortunate groups, including supporting orphans in Jordan and Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, by allocating a percentage of the event’s profits for their support.

It is worth noting that the Jordan Festivals Friends Association has organized over 120 performances for many global events and teams over the past fourteen years, attracting more than 150,000 Jordanians and foreign guests, thereby providing an unforgettable artistic and cultural experience for audiences in the homeland from around the world.

Under its social responsibility strategy, it has hosted more than 25,000 children from less fortunate backgrounds and individuals with special needs, aiming to integrate them with local communities and providing them with the opportunity to attend many of the events it has organized to be part of the Jordanian artistic and cultural movement.

The concert enjoys sponsorship and attention from prominent local partners and sponsors, including the National Arab Automotive Company – Kia and Greater Amman Municipality, as well as media partners like Roya TV, Play99.5 Radio, Nishan Radio, and Mizaj FM, and Mustaqil Radio.
