Hamas Leader Osama Hamdan: Resumption of Negotiations on Prisoners Depends on Ceasing Hostilities

Hamas leader Osama Hamdan stated that "what the occupation failed to achieve in 50 days will not be accomplished later," noting that "Netanyahu will become more entangled in Gaza, which has been and will continue to be a graveyard for invaders and occupiers." He called on "the free people in the United States to withhold their votes from Biden in the upcoming elections." He emphasized, "The world has witnessed a difference between the way al-Qassam deals with prisoners and how Israel treats Palestinian prisoners." He confirmed that "the resumption of negotiations regarding prisoners is contingent upon stopping the aggression," pointing out that "there are no safe areas in Gaza contrary to Israeli claims, as locations alleged to be safe have been targeted."

He mentioned that the Israeli army is targeting brilliant Palestinian figures, including Dr. Sufyan Taieh, who is globally classified among the top 2% of physics geniuses. He continued: "The talk about the occupation entering southern Gaza and breaching the resistance's defenses remains media rhetoric." He stressed the necessity of bringing in medical aid, field hospitals, and transferring emergency cases outside the sector for treatment. He called on Arab countries to form official delegations to break the siege. He expressed gratitude to all those who chose to remain in Gaza, as well as to Belgium and Spain for their supportive stance towards Gaza. He concluded: "The intransigence and procrastination of the occupation have prevented the success of the negotiation process in which mediators have exerted significant effort."
