In this context, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education confirmed in a statement that the report is inaccurate because the project is in no way related to the integration of Syrians with Lebanese. The ministry explained that the concept of integration refers to the inclusion of Lebanese students regardless of their differences in educational needs or the diversity of customs and traditions. The ministry pointed out that the concept of plurality in the project comes from the principle of respecting sectarian, religious, and ethnic diversity in a country that is based on dialogue and convergence, and promoting a culture of respecting differing opinions among learners.
