After the Controversy Surrounding Amr Diab's Concert... The Organizing Company Clarifies

The company organizing Amr Diab's concert in Lebanon issued a statement to clarify certain matters related to the conditions for press and media entry. They noted, "We are confident that the great artist Amr Diab treasures Beirut—its past, present, and future—and we thank him for his concert which revitalized its nightlife." They continued, "After communication with the organizing party, it became clear that the mentioned commitment was directed only to journalists wishing to cover the backstage of the stage, for Beirut is a breath that revitalizes Arab art, and its press is free and restricted only by the ethics of the profession."

The company affirmed that these conditions are purely organizational matters that do not concern the great artist and were neither imposed nor requested by him. They emphasized Amr Diab's appreciation and respect for the press and media, a stance he has upheld throughout his honorable artistic career, considering them as partners and supporters in his artistic journey.

Regarding the same topic, the families of the victims of the Beirut port explosion expressed their sorrow over the scene at the Biel yesterday. In a statement, they said: "Thank you to the great people of Lebanon who danced on our blood yesterday shamelessly at Biel, just meters away from the scattered bodies of our martyrs there. Thank you to the leaders of this country who permitted this provocative event to our feelings and emotions without shame. Thank you to the media that rushed to cover what they called an event while our cause is absent from them except in political investments. If half of those who participated yesterday from the Lebanese people had stood with us in our national and humanitarian cause, and half of the politicians and media supported our cause, we would not have reached where we are today and would have obtained justice for our oppressed martyrs. But we would hear if we called to the living, and truly, as you are, will be your rulers."
