Galant Calls for an Investigation Including Himself and Netanyahu into the Failures of October 7

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant called today for an official investigation that would include himself and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the October 7 attack carried out by Hamas, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of Israelis. Defense Minister Yoav Galant also stated, "A few hours ago, representatives of the Israel Defense Forces presented the main points of the investigation into the attack on the kibbutz to members of the Bari community (government investigation committee). We demand a national inquiry that will clarify the facts." Galant added, "This investigative committee must be objective, and it must interrogate all of us - the government, the military, and security agencies. It must investigate me, and it must check with the Prime Minister and the Chief of Staff." The crowd at the ceremony, which included families of the new officers, echoed cheers as Galant made his comments.
