Under the patronage and presence of the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, a ceremony was held to honor a group of distinguished teachers and schools on the occasion of World Teachers' Day for the academic year 2022-2023. This event took place at the stage named after the late Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Abdullah Al-Salem University in the Shuwaikh area.
The Ministry of Education announced that a total of 330 teachers and 50 distinguished schools were honored. This recognition was given in appreciation of the efforts of those who shape the minds of generations and their role in preparing future leaders, who are considered Kuwait's human wealth.
The Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Adel Al-Adwani, delivered a speech on this occasion, expressing his happiness to welcome His Highness and offering profound gratitude for His Highness's noble patronage and attendance at the honoring ceremony. He appreciated the significant role of His Highness in supporting the educational journey, committing to follow the path of progress and development, guided by His Highness's directives in improving education systems and curricula for the betterment of their children and the dignity of their homeland under His wise leadership.
Al-Adwani added that this honor is a great privilege for all and a source of pride for the entire educational family, demonstrating His Highness's commitment to valuing teachers and granting them their rightful place. He quoted the Holy Quran, highlighting the importance of scholars, emphasizing that teachers play a crucial role in building society, developing generations, and transferring knowledge and culture to students by instilling values of loyalty, belonging, and contribution to their communities, thus helping to cultivate a cultured and educated generation capable of progress.
The Minister addressed teachers, expressing gratitude for their tremendous daily efforts in the field of education and highlighting their role in illuminating the paths of knowledge for rising generations.
