Postponement of Journalists' Syndicate Elections

The head of the Journalists' Syndicate, Aouni Al-Kaaki, announced in a statement that "due to the failure to reach the legal quorum for the general electoral assembly, which was scheduled for today, Monday, April 22, the elections have been postponed, in accordance with Article 23 of the syndicate's internal regulations, to 11:00 AM on Monday, April 29, for the political publications category, followed directly by a session for the non-political publications and local news agencies category. This session will be valid regardless of the number of attendees, taking place at the Journalists' Syndicate." Al-Kaaki expressed hope for the participation of esteemed colleagues in the election of their syndicate council members.
