American billionaire Elon Musk commented on the U.S. House of Representatives' decision to approve a new aid package for Ukraine, questioning whether there is a strategy to end the conflict. Musk responded to a post on social media platform X by businessman David Sacks, who stated that the specified aid, claimed to be "to save Ukraine," would only be enough to fund half of the Ukrainian counteroffensive last summer, which ultimately failed.
Musk wrote in his comment: "What worries me most is that there is no strategy to exit this conflict, only an eternal war where young people die in trenches from shelling or machine guns and snipers, and in minefields." He also drew attention to Sacks' post, which expressed astonishment that some in the U.S. vote to allocate American funds while waving the flags of another country (Democrats in Congress waved Ukrainian flags while voting on the aid package) and were labeled patriots, whereas supporters of addressing domestic issues, such as border protection, are considered foreign influence agents. Musk commented, "What madness."
