The Government of National Unity in Libya announced that burn and plastic surgery hospitals and medical centers received 1,650 injury cases due to the improper use of slaughtering tools on the first day of Eid al-Adha. A government statement indicated that the majority of these injuries were recorded at Al-Jalaa Hospital in Benghazi, the Burns and Plastic Surgery Hospital in Tripoli, and the Misrata Medical Center.
In Sorman, Sorman General Hospital announced on Sunday evening that it received over 20 patients with varying injuries at the emergency unit during the first day of Eid al-Adha, noting that the injuries ranged from mild to moderate, with most cases requiring stitches.
In Misrata, the number of injured due to the improper use of slaughtering tools in the city rose to 330 cases.
