Drone Attack on Oil Processing Complex in Bashkortostan, Russia

The head of the Bashkortostan Republic, which has autonomous status in Russia, Radiy Khabirov, stated on his Telegram channel today, Thursday, that the Gazprom Neftkhim Salavat oil and petrochemical processing complex in Bashkortostan was attacked by a drone, but operations were not affected. The Russian news agency reported, citing emergency services, that "the drone attack caused damage to the pumping station building at the complex, which is one of the largest oil processing facilities in Russia, but no one was injured in the attack." Ukraine has intensified its drone attacks on oil processing facilities in Russia since the beginning of the year. Moscow claims that "the attacks amount to terrorism and are conducting what it calls retaliatory strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure facilities in response."
