Video: Fire at the Port of Beirut

A video circulated on social media today, Monday, showing black smoke rising from an area near the Port of Beirut, raising questions about a fire breaking out inside the port. Reports indicate that "the smoke is due to a fire in the waste sorting area, around the port." In a statement, the Beirut Fire Brigade announced that "the fire in the waste that broke out at the entrance to the Port of Beirut near the fish market has been brought under control, and the damage was limited to material losses."
