Kylian Mbappé, the top scorer for the French national team and Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed that he will leave the Parc des Princes with his head held high. However, Spanish coach Luis Enrique is finding it very difficult to find a suitable replacement for his international top scorer. This month, Mbappé announced that he would be leaving PSG after seven seasons, during which he became the club's all-time top scorer with 256 goals.
Mbappé played his last match in a PSG jersey on Saturday evening, during the victory over Olympique Lyon 2-1, securing the French Cup title for the 14th time. In press statements, Mbappé said: "It was hard and enjoyable because it was the final, and in the end, we won. I am filled with joy." He added: "These are all good memories, many years with Paris Saint-Germain, and of course in the league. We leave with our heads held high, especially after the title, and we will keep only the positives."
There has been widespread speculation about Mbappé's imminent transfer to Spanish club Real Madrid, but the 25-year-old player has not revealed the identity of his next destination. When asked about the reason, he responded: "I think I wanted to finish my career well with a team, there is a title, and I believe there is a right time for everything."
