Sources from the "Free Patriotic Movement" have informed MTV that "MP Gebran Bassil will visit Bkirki on Sunday and then Ain el-Tineh on Monday, meeting with various blocs until Thursday, including representatives from the 32 opposition MPs in Al-Sayfi." MTV's information indicates that one possible exit for Bassil involves involving the opposition in candidate names if they continue to refuse to participate in consultations, provided they take part in the subsequent election session—marketing one or two names between the opposition and the duo.
It was also noted that "the meeting in Lqoulouq between Bassil and 'Moderation' discussed three presidential scenarios in case an agreement fails: the extension of President Aoun's mandate without the party and the movement, a deal between Bassil and the 'duo' without the opposition, and an agreement among Christians on names that middle blocs work to support—and this was preferred by the attendees." It was highlighted that there is "an agreement between Bassil and 'Moderation' to wait for the results of his tour and the 'Progressive' movement, with communications that will ultimately take place to attempt to formulate a middle ground solution."
