Despite publicly expressing concerns about an anticipated military assault in Rafah, the United States recently approved the dispatch of billions of dollars' worth of bombs and fighter jets to Israel, according to the Washington Post. Informed officials from the Pentagon and the U.S. State Department noted that the new armament packages include over 1,800 MK84 bombs weighing 2,000 pounds and 500 MK82 bombs weighing 500 pounds. The U.S. provides annual military assistance amounting to $3.8 billion to Israel, a long-standing ally. Earlier on Friday, the U.S. Chief of Staff revealed that Israel has not received all the weapons it requested from the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Charles Brown stated, "We support them with significant capabilities, but they haven't gotten everything they asked for." He also added, "One of the reasons is that they are requesting things that can't be provided to them at this moment or items that we do not wish for them to have right now, in particular."
