A team from the Libyan Red Crescent in Sirte has recovered 14 decomposed bodies in the 720 neighborhood of the Giza Al-Bahria area while clearing destroyed buildings. After receiving a report from local authorities in Sirte about the presence of bodies in the Giza Al-Bahria area, where comprehensive demolition work (of destroyed buildings) is currently taking place, the teams from the Libyan Red Crescent, Sirte branch, proceeded to the area after completing all legal procedures. The area was fully surveyed for any bodies that may be present, as it had suffered complete destruction during the 2016 war. During the surveying process, more than 14 bodies were indeed recovered. The team numbered the bodies, placed them in special bags, and transported them to Ibn Sina Hospital in Sirte to complete the necessary procedures and collect DNA samples for each body.
