In an incredible scene, a crime was committed in the Turkish city of Izmir, where a person cold-bloodedly attacked a taxi driver after the driver had taken him on board, fearing he would have to wait in the extremely cold weather. The story unfolded, as shown by a camera mounted inside the taxi, when the assailant boarded from the Buca area of Izmir, instructing the driver to head towards the Gazimir area where the attack took place.
To prevent waiting in the cold, the driver was attacked by the passenger and was severely wounded by three bullets. In the footage captured from the vehicle's camera, the assailant's calm demeanor while searching for something in the car and slapping the injured driver caught attention.
Before opening fire, the assailant stopped the taxi driver, indicating that they had arrived at the requested address after taking him on a route with several wrong turns. He then asked about the fare, shortly before firing three consecutive shots at him, after pretending to take money from his pocket.
Following the shooting, the assailant searched for something in the vehicle for several minutes and advised the driver, who was in a state of fainting, "Don't trust some people," as reported by "Ihlas Haber."
As the injured driver fell onto the passenger seat and suffered from the pain after the attack, the assailant opened the front passenger door and continued searching for something for about 10 minutes. He did not stop there; he also slapped the injured driver, saying, "You can't trust some people" in some footage, before fleeing the scene after waiting outside the vehicle for several minutes.
These bloody moments were recorded by a camera placed inside the vehicle. By reviewing 110 hours of footage from approximately 70 surveillance cameras in the area, the suspect was identified, and security forces arrested him with the murder weapon in his possession.
