Today, Friday, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, received a congratulatory telegram on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The message stated: "It is with great pleasure that I send you my highest congratulations and warmest fraternal wishes on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Guide of Humanity, Muhammad, peace be upon him. May God bestow upon you goodness, blessings, and prosperity."
He added: "As we celebrate this blessed occasion, we draw inspiration together from the life of our noble Prophet and his lofty message, which calls for solidarity and brotherhood, encouraging us to work hand in hand for the progress and welfare of our Arab and Islamic nations, and to achieve a better future for coming generations."
He concluded: "I pray to God Almighty to grant you abundant health and happiness, and for the dear Lebanese people, progress and prosperity, and for our Arab and Islamic nations, more peace, advancement, and prosperity."
On another note, the Speaker received the President of the Public Procurement Authority, Jean El-Ali, who informed the Speaker about the Authority's work environment and programs. The Speaker also welcomed the President of the Central Inspection, George Atieh.
