Trial of Syrian Blogger for Indecent Act in Egypt

The Cairo Criminal Court began the first session of the trial of the Syrian blogger Amani, accused of misuse of social media and producing indecent content for profit. The lawyer filing the case against Amani presented a file to the court containing disks with videos of the accused that harm public morals and incite immorality, along with screenshots from her page that demonstrate her misuse of social media. The blogger Amani did not attend the first session of her trial at the Cairo Criminal Court in New Cairo, facing charges of misusing social media. A lawyer had previously filed a complaint against the Syrian blogger, who appears on various platforms to publish offensive content while illegally residing in Egypt, committing multiple cyber crimes, including electronic fraud, defamation, human trafficking, and misuse of the internet, all aimed at increasing her followers and profits illegally.
