Rami Naiem, publisher of the "Al-Siyasa" website, pointed out that "Lebanon, which prides itself on freedom—an attribute inherent to every journalist, media worker, and publisher of the site. This freedom has led me to express opinions that have offended the head of the Press Syndicate, Mr. Aouni al-Kakii, the head of the Lebanese Press Editors Syndicate, Joseph al-Qusifi, and the councils of both syndicates. I apologize to them all, announcing a closing of the past and my commitment not to target them. The press and editors syndicates are the nurturing grounds for media work and a reference for those working in the field of journalism and media."
