Saudi Foreign Ministry Expresses Deep Concern Over Military Escalation in Yemen

The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that it is "deeply concerned about the developments of military escalation in Yemen following the Israeli attacks in Al Hudaydah province on Saturday, July 20, 2024, which exacerbate the current tensions in the region and negatively impact ongoing efforts to end the war in Gaza." It called on all parties to exercise the utmost restraint and to keep the region and its peoples away from the dangers of wars, urging the international community and influential parties to fulfill their roles and responsibilities in ending conflicts in the region. The ministry reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's continued efforts to end the war in Gaza and its ongoing support for peace efforts in Yemen to spare its brotherly people further suffering and to achieve security and peace in the region.
