Israeli media claimed that Egypt has dropped out of the list of the top 10 tourist destinations preferred by Israelis, being replaced by Cyprus and Greece. According to the Israeli news site "Adif-plus," and based on the Passportcard index of an overseas travel insurance company, Israelis have resumed flying but prefer nearby destinations, with Greece and Cyprus being the favored holiday spots this year after Turkey, Egypt, and the UK exited the top ten. The report noted an increase in flights to the United States since the visa requirement for Israelis was lifted.
It added that the trend of recovery in Israeli flights abroad continues after a significant drop of 80% in international flights in the first months following the outbreak of the Gaza war compared to the previous year. The site explained that since then, there has been a steady increase in the number of flights abroad, estimating that around 70% more Israelis will travel internationally this month compared to last year, which was a record year for international flights.
