In a move to reactivate cooperation between the Central Bank of Lebanon and Arab banks, Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Wassim Mansouri, visited the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he was a guest of honor at the graduation ceremony of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance. He delivered a speech discussing the importance of the anticipated cooperation between the banks of Lebanon and Bahrain, as well as opening avenues to Arab banks. Mansouri also conducted a series of meetings with financial officials, including the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Mohammed Rashid Al-Meraj, and the Director of the Institute, Ahmed Abdulhamid Abdelghani. The Lebanese and Bahraini banks are set to implement cooperation based on an agreement between the Higher Institute of Business at the Central Bank of Lebanon and the aforementioned Bahraini Institute. This can be regarded as an important step towards expected agreements with Arab countries, as it encourages Arab and Islamic banks to reopen and collaborate financially with the Central Bank of Lebanon.
