Jadon Sancho has returned to training with Manchester United for the first time in 10 months, as a club source confirmed that the winger and coach Erik Ten Hag have settled their differences. The source stated that "Sancho and Ten Hag held a positive meeting at the Carrington training center and both decided to end the dispute that dates back to last season." Sancho played only 3 matches with United last season and spent the second half of the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after his relationship with Ten Hag became strained in September.
Ten Hag had excluded the winger from his squad during United's 3-1 loss to Arsenal, stating that "Sancho's performance in training does not guarantee him a place in the team." Sancho immediately attacked the coach on social media, accusing Ten Hag of making him a "scapegoat." He was then sidelined from the first team and trained with the youth team at United before returning to his former club Dortmund in January, where he shone during their victory in the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain, earning praise from Ten Hag.
After Dortmund's 1-0 victory over PSG in the first leg of the Champions League, Ten Hag noted to reporters that "Sancho is a very good player... He has shown why Manchester United bought him and that he represents high value for Manchester United, which is good." He added, "I am happy for Jadon, for his performance, and we will see what happens in the future."
