Sleiman Frangieh, the head of the "Marda Movement," confirmed that "the myth of Israel has fallen, and this is the greatest achievement of the Palestinian resistance on October 7. I believe that Israel cannot go to a wide war." In an interview with "LBCI," he added, "There are countries supporting Israel in an incomprehensible way, and this has begun to affect its leadership; time seems to be in favor of the resistance."
He continued, "The two-state solution has been proposed, and any solution accepted by the Palestinian people is acceptable to us." Frangieh noted, "The arrival of Americans to the region with aircraft carriers is fear for Israel, not support for it." He emphasized that "the Palestinian cause should be our cause and must be a priority for Christians before Muslims, and anyone who supports those committing massacres is complicit in them."
Frangieh further stated that he met with most Arab ambassadors and "no one has informed me of a negative stance regarding my candidacy for the presidency. To those who believe that my chances for the presidency have ended, I say 'no'; and to those who say my chances are 100%, I also say 'no.' My chances are 50/50, and Saudi Arabia has not placed any veto on my candidacy. I will not withdraw from the presidential elections unless my candidacy is withdrawn by those who nominated me."
