The Vice President of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Ali al-Khatib, will lead the Eid al-Adha prayer and deliver the Eid sermon at 8:00 AM on Monday, the 17th, at the Imam al-Sadiq Mosque in Shatila Square. Sheikh Khatib prayed to God to bring this holiday back to Muslims and Lebanese people with goodness, peace, and stability, and for the nation with pride and dignity. He prayed for the support of our people in Lebanon and Palestine, and for the acceptance of the pilgrims' deeds, wishing for their safe return to their homelands. He also declined to accept congratulations on the holiday due to the difficult circumstances in the region and out of sympathy for our people in Lebanon and Palestine.
