Russia Threatens to Target European Capitals with Missiles

The Kremlin warned today, Saturday, that the deployment of long-range American missiles in Germany could make European capitals targets for Russian missiles, in a renewed confrontation reminiscent of the Cold War era. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed out a "paradox" stating that "Europe is in the range of our missiles, and our country is in the range of American missiles in Europe." In a statement to the official "Russia 1" television channel, he added: "We have sufficient capability to contain these missiles, but the potential casualties are the capitals of these countries." Peskov hinted that such a confrontation could undermine Europe as a whole.
