The Estonian Ministry of Defense announced today, Saturday, that it has provided Kyiv with short-range Mistral air defense systems and their associated missiles. The ministry stated on the platform "X": "The delivery of the short-range Mistral air defense systems and missiles provided by Estonia to Ukraine has been confirmed." In June, the "Postimees" newspaper reported that Belgium, Hungary, Cyprus, France, and Estonia signed an agreement for the joint purchase of Mistral air defense systems. According to the newspaper, Mistral has been in service with Estonian defense forces for many years, and the new air defense systems will be delivered to Estonia within three years.
