The Directorate of Orientation in the Army Command announced today, Tuesday, that "on April 10, 2023, a unit from the army, supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, arrested citizens (Z.M.) and (A.A.) along with his brother (A.A.) in the area of Sqi al-Tabbaneh - Tripoli, as they were wanted for crimes of theft, robbery, and gunfire." The directorate pointed out that "the army unit seized three military weapons, including Kalashnikovs with ammunition, two motorcycles, and one ATV, all of which were stolen, as well as a quantity of drugs." The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the arrested individuals began under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
The army command also announced the arrest of citizen (M.G.), who was preparing an explosive device inside his home. The directorate noted that after investigations and inspecting the house, "raw materials used in the manufacturing of explosives were seized, and it was found that he was linked to citizen (M.B.), who was arrested in the area of Aramoun and admitted that he was purchasing raw materials to manufacture explosives for the arrested (M.G.)." Investigations revealed that he was planning to carry out criminal activities in various locations on behalf of external operators.
Separately, a military force arrested the wanted individuals (A.K.), (M.K.), (M.A.), and (A.H.) in the areas of Jeb Jenin and Kamid al-Loz - West Bekaa for their involvement in a family dispute that involved gunfire exchanges without any injuries.
