A four-story building collapsed in Port Said, northern Egypt, early Saturday morning, just a few hours before it was scheduled to be evacuated. Authorities are currently searching for survivors beneath the rubble. Egyptian authorities received a report of the building's collapse on Al-Baladiya Street in the Al-Manakh district of Port Said, resulting in several injuries. Emergency services and ambulances quickly arrived at the scene, where it was found that the building was home to a small number of residents, including a young couple who had married just days before. One injured individual, a 23-year-old man, was rescued and transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, authorities began removing debris and searching for additional victims or injured individuals. A security cordon was established around the site, and services to neighboring buildings were cut off.
