Israeli Chief of Staff Herzl Halivi visited the northern border with Lebanon and conducted a situation assessment with the Galilee Division leaders. Halivi stated, "When your enemy suffers, do not retreat; make it more difficult for him," emphasizing that "we are making it more difficult to further dismantle his position and also to increase the chances of achieving better conditions for the return of the hostages, which is extremely important."
He added, "I believe that the regional leadership, the military divisions, and the entire network working with the Air Force and military intelligence are doing very well in identifying the targets and attacking them." He noted that "the fundamental condition for all these actions is to have a strong defensive situation."
Halivi said, "It is our collective mission at this stage to lead this confrontation with strong determination to achieve the goals of the war." He assured that "we will not stop until we safely return the captives and citizens to their homes," stressing that "the results of this war will affect many coming generations." Halivi concluded, "We will continue until we subjugate the enemy, kill Hamas leaders, and destroy the military infrastructure."
