Hochstein Discusses Efforts for Calm in the Middle East with French Officials

A White House official stated that Amos Hochstein, a senior advisor to U.S. President Joe Biden, met with French officials yesterday to discuss French and American efforts to restore calm in the Middle East. The official added, "France and the United States share the goal of resolving the current conflict along the Blue Line through diplomatic means, allowing Israeli and Lebanese civilians to return to their homes with long-term guarantees of safety and security," referring to the boundary line between Lebanon and Israel.
