The General Directorate of State Security stated that "after receiving suspicious calls from several citizens in Tyre that caused panic and confusion, prompting citizens to evacuate around 25 homes in the town of Tirefilsieh, three youths (one Palestinian and two Lebanese) were identified as the culprits behind these calls. They have been apprehended and legal measures are being taken against them in coordination with the appellate public prosecutor in the south." The statement emphasized that "the exceptional circumstances Lebanon is currently experiencing necessitate the highest levels of awareness and seriousness in interactions, and that joking about critical matters exposes both the offenders and the citizens to negative consequences, which everyone can do without today."
