Insights and Innovations at the Saudi Green Initiative Forum Events

The third edition of the Saudi Green Initiative Forum 2023 will kick off in Dubai tomorrow, Monday, under the slogan "From Ambition to Action," coinciding with the "COP28" conference. The event aims to highlight the diverse initiatives and projects currently underway across the Kingdom. The Saudi Green Initiative Forum offers an annual platform for prominent policymakers, thought leaders, and climate experts from around the world to exchange ideas, visions, and engage in in-depth discussions on the best available methods for effectively addressing climate challenges and achieving a more sustainable future both locally and globally.

This year’s agenda focuses on a range of topics, including financing climate action activities, innovating clean energy solutions, activating the role of various community sectors in climate action, as well as protecting terrestrial and marine areas in the Kingdom. The Saudi Green Initiative Forum 2023 will also discuss topics related to sustainability, the activation of financing to empower climate action, alongside tree planting and environmental rehabilitation.

The forum events provide an opportunity for visitors to listen to a group of climate experts from the Kingdom and around the world and interact with them regarding the most important trends in sustainability. It is noteworthy that the initiative is an ambitious program launched by the Saudi Crown Prince in 2021, aiming to combat climate change, improve quality of life, and protect the planet for future generations. The initiative seeks to rally efforts from all community stakeholders to achieve three main goals: reducing emissions, increasing afforestation, and protecting the earth and nature. More than 80 initiatives are being implemented to contribute to achieving the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative, all representing significant investments in the green economy.
