Australia, New Zealand, and Canada: Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

Leaders from Australia, New Zealand, and Canada called in a joint statement today, Friday, for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The leaders stated, "There is an urgent need for an immediate ceasefire." They added, "Civilians must be protected, and there is a need to continuously increase the flow of aid throughout Gaza to address the humanitarian situation." U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris pressured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday, Thursday, to assist in reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza that would alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians, using a tone that was more forceful than that of President Biden.
