France has called on its citizens "who are still in Iran to leave the country as soon as possible due to the escalating risk of military escalation between Israel and Tehran, following the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniya." The French Foreign Ministry stated: "Officially, French citizens are advised against traveling to Iran for any reason."
