A member of Hamas's political bureau, Izzat al-Rashq, denied what was published by the French News Agency and circulated by some media outlets about a decision by Hamas to halt negotiations in response to the massacre in the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. Al-Rashq stated, "What was published has no basis in truth." He added that "the Nazi escalation against our people by Netanyahu and his Nazi government aims to obstruct reaching an agreement to stop the aggression against our people, which has become clear to everyone." This comes after the French Press Agency reported, citing a senior Hamas leader whose identity was not disclosed, that the movement decided to stop negotiations aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, condemning the "lack of seriousness from the occupation" and the "massacres against civilians."
