Before the start of the West Asia Basketball Championship for Male Under-18, hosted in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, a general technical meeting was held with the presence of representatives from the six countries participating in the regional championship, which will continue until July 15. The countries involved are Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Iran, Yemen, and Iraq. The championship serves as a qualifier for the Asian Championship for this age category, where two teams from West Asia will qualify, in addition to the host team Jordan for the continental championship.
The technical meeting was led by the Secretary-General of the West Asia Basketball Federation, lawyer Charbel Michel Rizk (Secretary-General of the Lebanese Federation), who explained all the technical and administrative matters. All passports were checked against the final roster of the teams, and the uniforms of the participating players were displayed. There was also an interaction with the match referees emphasizing the need to adhere to international laws in officiating the matches.

- 8 PM Beirut Time: Lebanon vs. Palestine
The six teams participating in the regional championship were divided into two groups:
- Group One: Iran, Yemen, and Iraq.
