The Jordanian Public Security Directorate, through a special security force, carried out a security raid against one of the most dangerous drug dealers and traffickers dealing with regional smugglers, in the Rweished district, a city located in the far east of Jordan. The media spokesperson for the Jordanian Public Security Directorate, Colonel Amer Al-Sartawi, stated that a joint special security force, after gathering information and determining the location of one of the most dangerous drug dealers and traffickers dealing with regional smugglers, executed a raid in the Rweished district.
Al-Sartawi added that the wanted individual opened fire with an automatic weapon toward the force, which followed the rules of engagement, resulting in his injury to the foot and his subsequent capture. He was taken to the hospital, while two other individuals accompanying him were also arrested. The media spokesperson confirmed that 125 bundles of cannabis, 53,000 drug pills, a quantity of crystal drugs, and three firearms—two of which were automatic—were seized, and investigations into the case have begun. The Rweished district is located at a border point with three Arab countries: Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Syria.
