Lebanese authorities have deported French drug dealer Abdel Karim Tawil, who is of Tunisian descent, to France after he was arrested at Beirut Airport in March, according to his lawyer and a Lebanese security source. Tawil, nicknamed "The Professor," was detained in Lebanon on March 17 upon his arrival at Beirut Airport based on a Red Notice issued against him by Interpol in connection with a cocaine trafficking case. Tawil arrived on Thursday evening at Charles de Gaulle Airport, as confirmed by his French lawyer Philippe Auayon, corroborating information initially reported by the newspaper Le Nouvel Observateur.
