Arab Swimming Championship: Lebanon Takes First in Women and Fourth in Men

Lebanon's swimming team concluded their participation in the sixth Arab Championship held in Abu Dhabi with 16 countries competing, securing first place in the women's category and fourth in the men's category. On the final day of the competition, Lebanon continued to collect medals, winning 8 colored medals (3 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze) and breaking 3 national records as follows:

- Simon Douaihi: First place in the 100m freestyle with a time of 50.52 seconds.

- Lynn Al-Haj: First place in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:35.75 minutes (new record, previous was 2:36.50 minutes by the same swimmer).

- Simon Kabbara: Third place in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:43.04 minutes.

- Talin Murad: Second place in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:06.20 minutes (new record, previous was 1:06.81 minutes by the same swimmer).

- Ahmad Safia: Second place in the 100m backstroke with a time of 57.27 seconds (new record, previous was 57.56 seconds).

- Lana Hijazi: Second place in the 400m freestyle with a time of 4:33.26 minutes.

- Women's 4x400m freestyle relay: First place for the team composed of Mari Khoury, Simon Kabbara, Lynn Al-Haj, and Lana Hijazi with a time of 4:04.27 minutes.

- Men's 4x400m freestyle relay: Second place for the team composed of Alexander Younes, Ahmad Safia, Farid Zidan, and Simon Douaihi with a time of 3:32.57 minutes.

The women's team finished first in the overall classification for women, while the men's team came in fourth.
