The distinguished Ja'afari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qablan stated in a statement that "despite the country's suffering from the worst national catastrophe due to some people's insistence on political rupture, backed by international and regional motives, and despite the unprecedented genocide committed by Tel Aviv and Washington against the Gaza Strip, which directly impacts Lebanon and its sovereignty, along with the historical aggressions that Israel continues to perpetrate daily against Lebanon, there are those who undermine the most sacred and significant war on the southern front, which is the largest sovereign war ever." He addressed the dignitaries saying: "It is shameful to belittle those who present themselves for the sake of the homeland and humanity, and because we are aware, as conveyed by the scriptures, that whoever does not see the truth suffers. And because we stand in the presence of the truth before God and humanity, I say: the culture of death reflects a disregard for the homeland, for the country, for sovereignty, for the massacres of people, and for the voice of conscience, let alone the commandments of heaven and the prophets."
He affirmed that "the people of the south do not need a certificate from anyone because they embody martyrdom, life, and victory, and it is certain that the liberation of Lebanon is not an illusion. The continuous pilgrimage of the world to Lebanon under the pretext of protecting the Zionist entity is also not an illusion. Crying should be for Lebanon and the oppressed peoples, not for the world's pilgrims who care only for Tel Aviv and saving it from its resounding defeat." He reminded some that "when Israel invaded the south in 1982, the state, with all its institutions and apparatuses, became a Zionist colony, and it was only liberated from that colonialism through the defeat of the resistance against it, unless some view this victory as illusory."
He emphasized that "the national standard today is the southern front so that Lebanon remains Lebanon, so that generations of this country speak Arabic, not Hebrew, and so that mosques and churches in Lebanon do not turn into Hebrew entities and Zionist fortifications. In this context, dying on the southern front is a witness to the life of a homeland, a state, a people, institutions, sects, and denominations, except for those who oppose the truth; and such obstinacy has no place in the Kingdom of God. However, the problem with the state’s services and the reality of its departments and institutions lies with the political forces insisting on political rupture and those who support them and shift the responsibilities to the Parliament, while the truth and reality is with those who insist on a presidential settlement that adheres to the principles of national partnership to save Lebanon and revive its state again; anything else is shameful and forbidden."
